It is the flying form of Nosk, assuming Hornet's shape at first instead of the Knight's. I did a few times in quick succession to no result, but quitting and coming back the next day seems to have fixed it. Winged Nosk is a quest boss in Hollow Knight introduced in Godmaster. So yeah, if anyone else encounters this problem, try just reloading the whole game a couple of times. In the fight that I won, he definitely used it more often, but he used his other attacks as well, which is how i was able to keep hitting him enough to eventually win. Thats where I think there was a bit of a glitch the issue was he would drop down, and then immediately, IMMEDIATELY jump back up again, before I could get anywhere near him. Yes, thats something i noticed as well, he does only use this attack after a certain amount of hits, the problem was that he was ONLY using this attack, and none of his other attacks, making him near impossible to hit. Sounds like bad rng if he drops down after finishing each, but if he isn't dropping at all, I think that is a bug in the condition for ending the attack. It should be ,"Nosk will only start to use this attack at or below 580 health.

Again, most of the time i dont even see it happen, and I cant even get Nosk within frame between the roof-floor-roof sequence. The longest I've been able to hold out this way is about six or seven attacks in a row. A lot of the time, I dont even see Nosk jump down and up, i just get the audio/visual cues, and the acid rain stuff. I can keep it up for a solid 5 minutes using the corner trick, but towards what I'm assuming to be the end, Nosk just spams its ceiling attack, and theres nothing I can do about it? It jumps down, and then IMMEDIATELY back up to the roof, I dont even have time to get across the room to where it lands.
